Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our shipping containers and services.
What is the difference between 'One-Trip' and 'Used' containers?
One-Trip containers are manufactured overseas, loaded with cargo once, and then sold, making them the closest to brand new. Used containers have been in service for 10-15 years and may have dents, surface rust, and patches, but remain structurally sound and wind-and-watertight.
How much space is required for container delivery?
For a 20ft container, you need approximately 60 feet of straight-line clearance. For a 40ft container, you need at least 100 feet. The site must also be level and firm enough to support the weight of the truck and the container.
Are your containers wind and watertight (WWT)?
Yes, all of our standard inventory is inspected to ensure it is wind and watertight. This means there are no holes in the roof or walls, and the door seals are intact to protect your belongings from the elements.
Do I need a permit to place a container on my property?
Permit requirements vary significantly by city and county. We recommend checking with your local municipal planning or zoning department before finalizing your purchase.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards, wire transfers, and certified checks. For business accounts, we also offer financing options and lease-to-own programs on select inventory.
Can I choose the color of my container?
One-Trip containers typically come in neutral colors like beige or light gray. Used containers come in the original shipping line colors. We also offer custom painting services for an additional fee if you require a specific color.
